Aeschynomene or better known as American jointvetch is a warm season annual legume that is a prolific grower, producing large quantities of high protein forage. This vetch is very browse tolerant once established. A great choice for high deer density areas. American jointvetch is highly preferred by deer.
Aeschynomene is adapted to most sites but does best in moist soils. Avoid planting in deep sandy soil. American jointvetch is also a great reseeder. A must have for your summer food plot program!
